We are so grateful to have luxurious & ayurvedic inspired tea brand: Rasa Teas, which is part of our coming Spring Box! We have interviewed her lovely founder Ella.
Who are you, where are you from and where in the world are you now?
My name is Ella and I am the founder of Rasa Teas. I live in Meanwood, Leeds and love it here.
How often do you take some “me time” and how important it is for you?
Every day, many times! My day begins with ‘me time’ – I stretch, breathe, drink warm water and do a pilates-inspired workout or go for a run in the fresh morning air. If it’s around my menstruation phase, I’ll practice gentle yoga. There is always time spent moving and connecting to my body before breakfast. I get outside for a walk, usually before lunch to unplug from technology, instead plugging into nature.
What are your favourite wellbeing rituals to do at home?
Yoga to connect with my body, tea ceremony to awaken my senses and abhyanga to slow my mind.
What are the benefits of your brand to a person’s wellbeing?
Rasa Teas encourage slowing down. We are constantly being asked to go quicker, faster and further ~ a tea ritual is the antidote. Rasa Teas have a brewing time of 12+ minutes, asking us to be patient and take the time to return to our centre. These blends encapsulate a rich history of ceremony, natural medicine and honouring mother earth.
What does healing mean to you? And do you practice self-healing often?
Healing to me is allowing the true flow, not holding back due to societal pressures and constraints but taking time to be raw and real. I find movement the easiest way to tap into this, be it dancing, organic yoga-inspired movement or a hot and sweaty workout.
