Point Zero x Hoj
We are so excited to have TCM inspired acupressure healing brand: Point Zero, which is part of our Autumn Box! We have interviewed their beautiful founders Ayesha and Hurriyah.
Who are you, where are you from and where in the world are you now?
Our names are Ayesha & Hurriyah and we are the co-founders of Point Zero. We are both based in London but we bonded over the years that we lived in New York and our passion for wellness. Like others, the pandemic, daily life and unexpected events impacted our mental health and led to issues with sleep and digestion, increased anxiety and low immunity. We were in search of a holistic approach to regaining our health and turned to Traditional Chinese Medicine, in particular acupuncture/acupressure.
How often do you take some “me time” and how important it is for you?
Extremely important 🙂 When we met, our conversations would largely centre around our favourite self-care rituals and ways to enhance our health. For me (Ayesha), I like to take long walks in the park and attend a reformer pilates class. Hurriyah relaxes through yoga and long baths.
What are your favourite wellbeing rituals to do at home?
I start my day with a Wim Hoff breathing exercise and a long walk in the park. At night I relax with a meditation following which I gently massage my ear seeds to stimulate the pressure points that I am working on that week.
What are the benefits of your brand to a person’s wellbeing?
Point Zero uses a scientifically proven method to offer a needle-free, convenient and affordable solution to healing, designed in a way that fits effortlessly into our lives. We use acupressure as a way to balance the flow of energy (qi) through the body by stimulating pressure points. After 2-3 treatments, we found that we were sleeping better, thinking better and had more energy.
One piece of advice to help reconnecting with our body?
Slow down and be present.
